I'm gonna install a kill switch on a buddy of mines TJ before someone steels it. It is a '97 TJ w/ 4cyl. I don't want to know where you mounted your switch or any details of that sort. In fact, PLEASE don't post that info. I was just wondering if there were any critical wires, such as fuel pump etc., that maybe ran under the carpet. Colors would of course be helpful too. Just thought I'd get some info before I started hacking into his wiring:D Feel free to PM me or email me at cls6819@cs.com. TIA

i can pull his carpet up and look, or look at wires under his dash, but I really don't know what wire is for what, or what the color code is. I just wanted info on where the fuel pump wire or something critical like that was, perhaps even in the cab. For example, I know that the hot wire to my fuel pump in my truck runs under the carpeting on the passenger side, so I pulled up the carpet and spliced into that. Was hoping for someone to post info such as that? I'm not going to purchase a $100 (or whatever they cost) FSM for a buddies jeep so I can install a $5 modification. I guess I'll just have to trace the wires out....

If you go to my sight you can pull down the document labeled "Theft Protection - How to automatically disable and enable your jeep.
In this document you will fine the ONE SINGLE wire you can tap into that controls the Automatic Shut Down Relay.
I give you plug location, pin number and wire color for a 97 TJ.
Cut this wire and insert a switch (Or hidden reed switch as I did) and you will control the fuel pump, fuel injectors, Ignition System and a few other circuits from this one wire.
Here's the link.

Hope this helps you out.
