Just bought an MC2100 carb off of an 84 grand wagoneer. It's got two parts on it that I'm not sure off.

The first is located by the throttle linkage and is circled in the pic's.
Do I need this? If so what does the wire hook up to?

The other part is on the choke. Do I hook up 12 V to the spade connector? This has the exhaust gas style choke and I'd like to keep it.

The first picture is the A/C solenoid to increase idle while the A/C is on and the second is for the choke. It connects to the stator terminal on your alternator. It puts out about 7 VDC so the choke opens slower than if it was hooked up to 12 VDC.
