Ok I have a 72 Cj5 spring over with the skinny leaf springs. Running boggers with a 304v8. I was thinking ladder bars. but sams offroad wanted 200$ for a single... This is highway robery. Does any body know where i can purchase a afordable traction bar or ladder bar setup?.........Or mabe show me something cheap to fabricate to cure my problem?

you really need to search this one out. there is tons of info here from construction of the arm, to where it needs to be located, and everything in-between.

the guy is trying to help you. Don't be a dick about it.
You want a center link like offered at Sams. It's a nice product at a decent price. To make one you would be looking at 100-125 dollars in materials plus your time.

I wasnt trying to be a dick sorry if it came off that way.......the one sams has a pivot point where it mounts to x member like a spring shackle.........kinda seems to defeat the purpose to me. But maybe im not thinking in the 3rd dimension.

axle wrap is an up and down motion.. the shackle doesnt move when the axle is wrapping.
but when the axle is flexing the shackle allows the bar to move forward and back with the axle

for the search thing:
two ways to do it. If you have the google tool bar, the button right next to the search field has an option to search the "current site"
OR, you can just type "site:www.pirate4x4.com traction bar" and google will only search Pirate

For the traction bar thing:
I vote for Sams offroad. Or build one that follows the same principals. When the axle tries to twist, it won't push the shackle forward, it just pivots around that point. It is essentially pushing off itself in the triangle shape.
