I was looking for some advice from expieriece as well as pics from anyone that is running a full width YJ with a spring over and full hydro.I was planning on running the stock YJ front springs but it looks as if regardless of how close I mount the ram the the axle ,the stearing rod can potentialy hit the spring. Some simple set up info as well as the source of the product will help in my endevore.

High steer arms. I hard mounted my ram using the dif cover bolts. In two years I haven't had a problem (breakage).

Sorry, no real good pics of just the steering.

Here's mine. Had SOA with this bridge setup for almost a year before switching to links.

You need to buy some arms and move things up above the springs.

Why do you need to go full hydro?
If you are going to run stock springs (or something similar) I would go with hydro assist.
I say this after driving a number of full hydro systems supplied by reputable vendors mentioned above. I understand that full hydro has it place, but drive a full hydro system before you commit to getting rid of the box.

This is an affordable kit from West Texas Off-Road.

All I wanted from the begining was to go Hydro assist and retain the mechanical conection in my steering ,but I am concerned that if I dont go full hydro as my build evolves I will outgrow it.I will reconsider that option again before I make final decision.

To each there own.
After driving full hydro systems I really dont like the "sloppyness" of a full hydro system. Also, WHEN a hydro line goes, you still have a mechanical linkage as a back up. Hydro assist "can" take more work to set up but I think the benfits are definetly worth it when assist is feasible.

I ran hydro assist with 42s on a welded diff for years. It works fine. Not having assist was not wheelable on 37s with leaf and no track bar.

I went full hydro because I wanted a larger radiator which took over my mounting location for the steering box so I just wen full hydro.

I only did a single ended hydro setup and its fine. If you us a 2in 1.125 shafted ram for assist it will work well if you later choose to go full hydro. your PS box once tapped for assist is worth alot more so its not a bad investment of time.
