Well most of the snow is gone. there is still alot of patchy stuff in the trees. Not sure about the trail, I am sure it is as clear as it was a week ago.
As for camping areas, they are getting real scarce. Those that in the past have camped around the Loon Lake area just before the 2nd Dam, will be camping in a few inches of the remaining snow due to the trees and shade. By this afternoon all the paved camping spots will be gone.
Still real cold in the mornings, been in the mid to low 30's. Last night a nasty wind came in, pretty strong gusts. More then tents in open areas can handle. Still windy this morning but the heavy gusts have settled down.
Those still comming up just be prepared for winter camping, with cold temps. Bring tarps as the ground is muddy and snowy. All natural fire wood is soaked deep into the wood, so bring firewood.
As long as you come prepared for this all should be fine.
This will be my last Rubicon Snow update unless something major happens (but I doubt it)
See Ya There
