I was curious too... This is what I found
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: :

1963 Jeep Gladiator
In addition to the Wagoneer, the all-new Jeep Gladiator pickup was introduced in 1963 and was built on the same platform, had the same front-end styling and shared the same powertrain as the Wagoneer. The new Gladiators were available in an extensive range of models with three different bed options and in both two- and four-wheel-drive versions.

dood. go to specialty jeep's web site and look in the vin code checker dealy. I did it with my gladiator and found it came w/a 6-230 t18 and dana 20 not sure what axles but probabvle 44's front and real. his vin checker is very specific if you can get the vin. mine was on the front of the drivers door frame. http://www.specialtyparts.com/vins/62yr65jservin.htm
