Im wanting to make a set of tube doors for my 87 XJ 2 door. I haven't ever gotten to see any up close before. I would like to be able to put my full doors back on when ever i want. What the best way of hingeing the tube doors? I was think about drilling out the door pins and make a drop pin, kinda like whats on wranglers. Show me some pics of your xj tube doors and some close ups of your hinges if ya gottem! I would really like to do this right the first time and looking for some ideas! Thanks!!!

I made one out of a Chevy S-10 Blazer tire carrier...

I cut the stock latch off and relocated it to hit the pin on the door jamb...

then relocated the release handle to pop it open...

It worked pretty well...shut really nice & tight without rattling and saved a lot of time by not having to make the frame for it. Not a bad little option if you've got a welder and a junkyard nearby.

Hinges....use a cutoff wheel and chop the bottom part of the hinge off, then the doors drop on. Not a big deal. Plenty of info out there if you search for it.
