Did a search and didn't find what I was looking for :p

I have a scout saginaw steering box that I am using to do PS. I HAD a standard saginaw steering box with steering shaft.

Unfortunately, the input shafts are different sizes:(

Is it possible to simply swap the input gear from one saginaw box to another? Or am I looking for trouble doing that?
