I removed the driveshafts, transfer-case, shifters, bell housing bolts, starter, and anything else I could find that was connected, the transmission is about an inch away from the engine block but will not slide any farther back, we wiggled and jiggled and kicked and cussed trying to get it out but it just wont go any farther, my question is, am I missing something? is there something else holding it that I am over looking? clutch or something maybe. this is in a 95 f-250, 5.8, 4x4. any help would be appreciated. thanks. Dustin

Whay bout the exhaust, is it catching on it? The starter? Just look it over and over to find anything snagging it.

Sounds like the metal plate between the engine and tranny still has a bolt in it though.

get a chain and another truck...:D is it maybe hitting the floor? shifter handle??? it helps to drop the rear down by jacking the front of the motor up a little bit sometimes... good luck...
