I am currently installing a york in my YJ. I have an old 4 gallon (two 2 gallon tanks connected at the hip) compressor tank that is only rated to 125 psi. Are there any advantages to running a 150 psi system other than having more air crammed in a small tank? I figure since I will have 1.5 gallons more than the standard 2.5 gallon tanks that most people run it should work fine. anyway most air tools arent rated for much over 90 psi.

Mine is @ 100 psi for the ARB's w/ only the volume my bumper holds (less than 2 gal.) & it will easily seat a bead.

I have a tank that is about 6-7 gallons. It's a big rig brake tank and rated for 150 psi working. I keep it at 175 psi:D It'll turn the little cheapo impacts into something as strong as the huge IRs

Sure if you had 1PSI in the tank, but ya gotta consider 2250 PSI.....thats roughly 150 times PSIG

I use a 95/125 pressure switch, 7 gal tank and a miniregulator for ARB

So lets see. i said SCUBA right. Scuba tanks are not very big. This tank is only about 3 feet tall and 1 foot in diamater. These are designed to be worn on someones back. SCUBA!! And did I say anything about mounting it on the car. I just kept it in the back.
:flipoff2:
