I purchased a locker from Ben on February 18 and sent him the money via Paypal. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=555549
After two weeks I had not received the locker so I gave him a call. He told me he had lost my shipping address and it wasn't showing up on paypal. So, I give him my address again.
Almost two weeks later I still haven't received the locker. Since March 13, I have sent him 4 emails, at least 10 phone calls with messages, and 2 PM's here on the board. All with no response!
I decided to try to give him a call today before I made this public. I called him at 9:30 this morning and he answered his phone. When I told him who I was he told me "I'm at work, you'll have to call me later". Then he hung up on me.
I don't know what's going on, or if any of you know him. If you do, and can find out for me I would appreciate it. I think I have given him more than enough time to make this right.

Have you contacted paypal and told them you never received the product? They should be able to get your money back from him, either by attaching his bank account or taking it off his CC on file. If not I say next time you are in CA take a side trip and go kick his ass.

i have had to do two paypal disputes in the last year and they took care of the problem asap. As soon as i started a claim the sucky sellers would clean their act up real quick.

Damn this fucking pisses me off. I hate sellers like this. total bullshit. David, I hope you get your shit in the condition promised. It is always nice to get your money back, but when you put your money out there for something like this, it is the principal. Either way, good luck and maybe if someone goes by his house and hits him with a brick he will change his mind

I received a call from Ben's wife tonight. She said she would mail the locker out in the morning. I will let ya'll know if it arrives, in a few days.

you only had 30 days to file with paypal, might be longer hadn't done that in a year, but you can't just wait, if it is 30, you are too late:(
go check, file right now, paypal will drop it when proof is showed of shipping, in the meantime they will freeze the paid price for around 30 days thats it takes then to investigate

I got shafted $508 a few years ago trying to buy some tires from a guy in TX, I know how it feels. I even got USPS involved since I paid with a money order through them, but nothing ever happened...
For your sake, I hope his wife is more of a man than he is :flipoff2:

It seems out of character for Ben to pull anything like this.
I saw him and his wife a couple of weeks ago out at Johnson Valley.
I personaly have bought a few items from him, he never budges on price but he always got them on the 'railroad' to me when he said he would.
IF there is anything to this other than some poor communication.....
I don't think Ben would be welcomed too much around our camps any longer.

Why would you refund my money rather than ship the locker? Did you ever have a locker, or was this a scam from the beginning?

You know for a marine you sure do not act like marines that I know. They have honor and discipline. They certainly do not get on the internet and attempt to steal money and then try to spread lies just to cover their ass when it blows up in their face. I have known David personally for quite some time now and he is the nicest easy going guy you would ever meet.
As far as paypal goes fuckhead, it gives you the ship to address when you get his payment. Blow that smoke up somebody else's skirt.

I was standing ther when David talkrf to your wife and he was very polite. He didn't even ask her for any explanations. Just gave her the address and I think he even said "Thanks". I told him that he handled that very well, alot better than I would have. So you can go tell that CRAP to some of your freinds but I dont think that you have very many and they are probably tired of your crap already. I am very glad that you at least manned up enough to return the money. :flipoff2:

Once you have received a payment for a product you advertised-its your obligation to fully follow through in a timely manner-even if you need follow up information. If the buyer accidently clicked no shipping address (rare) you can simply send them an email requesting it (you have their personal email right on the paypal transaction).
