I'm posting for my son in law 22RE 5 speed non a/c truck brand new timing chain. A west Texas truck very little rust some rust in the bed where tool box sat and touched the bed floor and fender well. What happened to the motor to need a new timing chain?

it was just time it was running poorly and you could not set the timing
