i havent broke a birf yet but i am a worry wart and i was looking into buying some longfields. beacuse im rebuilding the axle and adding histeer and modig it for a elocker anyway so while it is apart i would rather do everything once!

i am confused about the 27 and 30 spline. now i found a set of longfields that are 27 spline they are just the birfs. he wants 300 for the 2 birfs.

well those would work with my stock inners??? they are brand new. so i fighure this is a good deal. but i am wondering if im running a highpinion elocker with 488 and 33-37 inch will i need the 30 spline version . also , because these are new i wonder if i get them if i could trade them at bobbylongs for a 30 spline set and pay the difference. i think one might have been packed with grease!!!! so i dont know if he whould take them?? i will cal him if i buy them. so my question really being do i need chromoly inners to run these 27 birfs. should i go for upgraded inners??? or just hold out for the 30 spline set???

No you use the sa hubs they are the best out there. Do not use any othere brand of hub, like warn they blow up. ifs hubs are a smaller spine.
30 spine means the axle is 30 splines at the birf end instead of 27, more meat :smokin:
i run 27s with sock iners and welded front sitting on 35s

Buy the 27s and run them. Unless your on the 'Con every weekend the 27s will hold up just fine, IMHO. Depends a lot on your driving style and where you wheel. I am going to buy the 27s personally so I can carry my original birfs as trail spares. You never know!

I would run 30 spline. That is what I run with my highpinion just to be a little stronger. I still carry a stock birf with both axle shafts to be on the safe side. I would all so go with his hub gears. I have spun the splines on the 30 spline axle and the birfield. He has agreat product but I would go big with the 30 spline its only 100 bones more well worth the money.:grinpimp:

i wonder if i get them if i could just trade them to bobbylong and pay to get the 30 spline set??
