Hi,

Anyone have some suggestions for replacing the stock HEAVY steel wheels with some strong light aluminum wheels. I am not interested in the BLING factor at all, i just want them to be lighter.

A buddy of mine suggested Alcoa's, but i don't have any experience with them. Looking at their site, it appears they only have 2 options, is that right?

p.s. they have to fit my new tires below in autosig

why dont you try looking where you bought your tires from. usually they sell both. tires and rims.

Just buy some stock pull offs from ebay or a junkyard near you if your just trying to lighten your wheels. If h2 rims fit that'd be cool and cheap.

go to any Discount Tire (or probably Americas Tire near you). we carry 16" wheels all day that fit Silvys and other 8 lug trucks

Did you find out the weight of the stock steel wheels?

What is your bolt pattern (8-170mm or 8-6.5")?

Here are the MT Classic II's I mentioned. You have seen them on the blazer (the HH trip where you blew your groceries  ).

Is it the base model steel wheels?

You might look from some of the aluminum stock wheels for the LT models. But I can't say for sure about just how much weight it will save you. Most the weight is the tires themselves.
