what kinda of master cylinder are people running for a 88-98 SAS? Im just running a 90 1Ton Independant susp one but its not getting the job done.

is it new or a junk yard part or what? maybe its worn out. air in the lines? blown wheel cylinder? have you adjusted your rear drums?

it was new. Now its leaking right by the seal for the storage container for the MC. But before it wasnt really the best. The lines are fine, no leaks or air. Drums are adjusted. Just curios what MC is the best to run. do the pre 87 run better with dana 60/14 bolt?

From what I've read, try a pre IFS 1-ton MC. They are already designed to apply the extra pressure to the solid axles.

Hydroboost MC. I think they have a larger piston to push more fluid, and it does not have the "quick takeoff" feature (or whatever it is called when the pads come off the rotor after braking then move really close to the rotor); I may be wrong tho. But, that is what I plan on gettin when I ditch my IFS.

what model/year did the hydroboosts come from?

I think they came in all OOBS K30s (1ton). I may be incorrect about the exact years, but they came in the later OOBS models.

anyone know for sure the model/year the hydroboosts came in?
