Ill try and narrow it down to a short story....... took old pump off, rod slid all the way out almost fell out... pushed it back in and bolted new pump on.. No worky, old pump back on, no worky.... Just to verify i took the supply line off, hooked up a fuel line poured gas in, blew it into the pump and carb, filled th eline back up and started the motor, its not spittin any gas through the pump.. Now i take the pump back off and decide to check on that pushrod.. Now instead of falling out i have to grab it with pliers to get it out... If i start the motor and push in with my thumb it pulses good, but maybe the fuel pump spring isnt strong enough to push the rod back in??
