I just removed the manual fan clutch because it went bad and put an electric fan in its place leaving the fan shroud in place.I was wondering what are safe temps?it gets up to 200 after a little while ,that is when crawling around in the woods.on the road it stays about 180-190.seems a bit higher than with the fan clutch setup .should I just get another fan clutch or are these temps normal?

What size fan are you using. i was using a 10" and it was marginal especially on long steep climbs. After it s%# itself I replaced it with a 12" and the change was huge no more overheating and everything runs a lot cooler

I'm using a Flex-A-Lite model #110 electric fan. It pulls about 1200 cfm or more and I don't have any heat related issues, this in a Sami with a 1.6 which tends to run hotter than the 1.3.. I run around 190 plus or minus a couple of degrees. The only heat related problems I did have was caused by the radiator that was in need of replacing, which I did.....
