Ok so I'm finishing up the axle swap and would like to hear any concerns or comments before I paint it all up that way I can make changes now while I'm still working on it. Sorry I can't post pics but here's a link and maybe someone will post pics off it onto here.

i dunno about the shocks mounted to the arms in front. there is a pic in the ford section somewhere of somewone who did that and ripped their shock in half because of the binding. how do you have the top mounted? i cant see in the pics, but if the bolt is running side to side on the truck, then you will have major binding problems and almost surely break a shock. change it so that the bolt runs parallel to the frame, it will allow the shock o move in more planes at one time.
one other thing that concerns me though is the bend in the arms. i know it offers a lot more ground clearance and all, but if you are running a high HP motor, under the right situation, those lowers could buckle at the bend.
otherwise, looks pretty good. nice work.

Hey looks good overall ECF, you have been hard at work i see...
A few minor things, though. I think you will break both of your upper links eventually. Those are 3/4" heims right? All the lateral load will be placed on that single top joint. I just would have gone 1" or bigger... Also i hope you left the jam nuts off so the joint can flex adequately, binding will also break the joints. I noticed the interesting steering setup, everything looks like it will clear when flexed (except for the TRE on the pitman arm), but you are gonna have some serious bump steer. If that's important to you, there isn't alot you can do. Is that a scout PS box? If so i think you are gonna have a hard time turning those 44's... Also it looks like your instant center is a little on the high side on the rear control arms. I think you will be able to lift your front left tire off the ground, if you turn left and floor it, like a TJ does... Other than that you need brakes, and you should be set.
only thing I'd be really worried about is the hiems joints letting go. It happened on my old 4runner a few times on the rear 3 link and theres a lot more stress on the front links.

Thanks guys for all the replies. Let's see if I can answer your questions. First off steering issues. I am running toy power steering box with hydro ram assist so turning isn't a big deal. Yeah the drag link isn't to my liking but it turns lock to lock without binding and so I guess it does it's job. Yeah it will have bump steer, but it is trail only so I don't care so much about that. Shock didn't seem to bind when I flexed it up, at least not enough to be concerned with. Bent link might be a problem but I am not running high horse just the 4 banger but there is a lot of torque with gearing so they should probably be gusseted, thanks. The heim joints are 1 1/8 inch shank and 1 inch just sleeved to use smaller bolt. If they break they are easy to replace and I can always upgrade when someone gives me lots of money! Anyway that is about it, if you see anything else that maybe should be gusseted let me know, it is much appreciated!
