'85 Chevy K30 w/ stock 454 nad Qjet.
I've got a periodic (rpm dependant) noise that comes along with a significant loss in power and I can feel it through the gas pedal (the pedal falls away from my foot). I'm thinking its like a back-fire up through the carb, but the sound is more harsh than the 'phoom' I'd expect from a backfire (you can tell I'm streching when I try to spell a noise). I can't feel any air pressure being blown back up the carb.
Where should I start? What could be wrong?
