This ain't my first set....just the worst set..... I'm installing 5.13"s and a Detroit in my shaved housing. I don't know , the part is correct, but think I may got the wrong carrier break. It's not wanting to set all the way in on the left carrier bearing...losing all backlash and will lock itself up. I've even removed all shims from the pinion,it's swallow as can be. Also I have no shims on the left carrier bearing, trying to gain any and all the back lash I can. Any ideas??My Locker is part # DL225sl-19A, only numbers on the locker seem to be case numbers...plus a stamped 25. :rolleyes:

Yup, sounds like the wrong carrier break. Call em back and get them to send ya a low gear carrier. Would help for future posts if you said what axle it was going in.

It's a Dana 60,FF. I just dismantled a 2nd one. It had 4.10's...I have sitting on a bench, both side by side on the carrier bearing with the gear teeth up. Measuring with them sitting this way in the outer race, the Detroit with 5.13's measures 2 11/16" from bench to face of where ring gear bolts...face of flange. The 4.10 carrier is 2 5/16" . I'm going to now do measurement's on the dia. of the two pinions and this should show me...what will work. Anyone know where to find the spec.'s of these actual carrier's?

Well, I just checked Tractech's applications...they only make the 2 carrier breaks...being it's not the same as the 4.10 one, I'm maybe overlooking something,????what da?:flipoff2:

Any chance you have a set of the 'thick' 5.13s? These are designed for use on 4.10/down for D60s

:D Yes I do!!! Don't you think that if you ordered all your stuff from on outlet...gears, lockers etc....frt. and rear they would figure that out???? Drivetrain Direct, and to think it's been backordered!!!! Will the frt. RC Detroit be the same???
