Down fall to the fab tech is it puts a lot of leverage on the idler and pitman arms. Then you get the death wobble and the alignment does not stay consistent. Now I have installed Rancho,Fab Tech, Pro Comp and have seen alot of the others. My personal opinion has one of the better steering setups for lift kits. I myself have not seen any majo rproblems the Pro Comp lifts aside from a little grinding to align some holes up.

But that goes for any lift kit out there. Pick the one you feel best about they all have pros and cons with them but stay with a brand you can trust. Stay away from the brands like Full Throttle,Whiplash-WestCoast Suspension or any of the ones that look like they were designed on a peice of a bar napkin or a garage floor with a sharpy. Good luck with your choice of suspension for your truck and do the research.

I was happy with my procomp I had on my 99 1500. if you do get the procomp make sure to get the full drop one not the knuckle one.

Cognito Has a very nice 4-6" that recently came out. But gunna be more $ than the normal brands. Cant go wrong with pro comp IMO, have heard good things. Reguardless of which lift I would drop 200 bucks on Cognitos Pitman and Idler Supports. They will take the strain off the stock ones and use a heim joint to allow it to piviot. Also try dieselplace.com tons of lifted ones over there.

The ones I've seen are done by the dealer.

I really like my ProComp 6" full drop. I'm pretty rough on it and it's holding up great. I'm cranked up to about 7.5" and I'm running 7" rear springs. It handles the rocks pretty good for IFS, but I wish I put on the Realift T-Bar locators when I did the lift. That damn tbar crossmember hangs on everything. Now I have to find the brackets I threw out to raise them up.
