Any way the tractor joints were put in just to move the truck out of my shop. We tore the truck down planing to build the truck there, but I got a great job offer in AR and had to quickly move it.

American 04-05-2007, 07:00 PM I like how simple you made that look...
This is a sick build. Good motivation for me
HOT_DAMN 04-05-2007, 11:22 PM Had it not been for my friend chris this project probly never would have taken off. We came back from wheeling one night after I had broken something in the front and he told me I could take it to his shop. That night we gutted the interior, havent looked back since then.

It is folks like those that make you look back, way on down the road, and say, "What the hell was I thinking. Whatever it was Im glad I did it"
Action Fab 04-06-2007, 06:14 PM yah he loves me.
I am the chris by the way.
story behind the build started when josh swaped from street truck (lowered dodge with a build 360) to the z-71. I had been into 4x4's a while and had taken him wheeling a few times in my FSJ. So by the time we were out of high school he was hooked on wheelin. The plan was a basic SAS, with a 44 front and stock rear. Well we see that didnt happen.
One night we were out wheeling. and had gotten into some pretty big shit that we probably should not have been in and josh broke a tie-rod, and after I drug him 2 miles back to camp with the tires toed in I had burn up the trany in my burb, and blew out one of his front tires. so we fixed the truck and in the following outing a situation much the same happend, we were trying to climb a wall and broke the front axle. so with the last two trips ending in desaster. Josh was fed up.
I offered to tow his truck to my shop so he could work on it, well we got a little carried away and with in a month it had the front and rear frame sections chopped the lower 2 feet of cab boat sidded and a full exo encasing the cab. yah Im a good friend, I gave him time, metal, tools, and the Ideas to build one of the coolest late model chevys out there. I hope he is glad cause there is no going back. but out of all this I think the coolest thing is that the two of us are only 18 soon to be 19.
Shadowfox 04-06-2007, 06:21 PM is the front ifs? or did u put a straight axle?

HOT_DAMN 03-19-2008, 07:55 PM Fuel tank is mounted back there and then just some space to put straps, chains, whatever you want. Plan on putting a small pancake air compressor back there but that will be on down the road.
