i just bought a 56 willys with a 4 cylinder and was told these ran on 6volt system what do i have to do to convert it to a 12 volt ive searched with no luck:confused: :confused:

I'm not sure about Jeeps but with old VW's i just change all the light bulbs and the starter, alt. etc and you should be good. If you don't have the dough you can just use the 6v starer it'll last for a while. my 66 bug has been 12 with a 6 volt starter for a few years. if the wiring is junk just get the painless fusebox and start wiring.
