I already did a search, didn't find what I wanted. I'm right in the middle of my project Sidekick and have run into transfer case issues. I was going to do the Toyota t-case with either the doubler set up or the 4.7 gearset, but I am not secure in their strength. I found a passenger side drop NP241 that I can grab cheap. This would save me a little green on the adapter, already has a lower LO range than the Toy. And will obviously be stronger.
The downfalls to the 241 are the chain(but it is huge), its sheer size(it TOO is huge), and its weight.
Here's the 411 on the 'Kick: 4.3 V6, TH350, dual Dana 60s, 4.88 gears, Detroits fore and aft, and coils at all four.
And later, just to be a dumbass, its getting a 75HP shot of funny gas! But, don't let that fool you, this is to be a super slow and controlled 'crawler.
So, where do I find the output shaft kit, are there 4 to 1 kits for the 241, and how much are they? Thanks

You should have absolutely no problems with the strength of the 241. I'm running one behind a 350Hp 350, Nv4500, 5:13's, 39.5 boggers. I've never heard of chain problems on the 241. I've heard of case failures because of too long of front driveshaft and from really hard jumping. There is a 241 case from '88 and '89 3/4 ton chevy trucks with a built in mount similar to the 205 that would probably add some strength if you jump hard.

The cheapest place I've found the short shaft kit for the 241 is :

There is a 4:1 kit for the 241, I don't remember the name of the company. I thought it was Mepco but I did a search on Mepco's site and couldn't find it. I looked into it a few years ago and instead of selling the new front case like on the 231, they machined your old case for you. I think the cost was around $1000.
