: I'm confused.
vetteboy79 04-03-2007, 11:05 PM What's the spectrum of this forum?
Is it XJ tech from stock to as far as anyone has taken it?
Should we be expecting mixed questions about 2" BB lifts, and 4-linked coiled rears with entirely rebuilt "frames"?
I'm not sure why the forum was just divided this way (perhaps something to do with the latest Jeepspeed trend), but I don't think it'll really help things at all. Especially with the vast amount of XJ information already in both the 'hardcore' and 'newbie' forums.
Not trying to be an ass, just wondering.
stock XJ stuff can go in the non-hardcore jeep stuff. think of this as the hardcore XJ section.
Capt. Nemo 04-04-2007, 06:49 AM I think it's going to end up as "hardcore" as the users allow it to be. If the users respond to the "how much lift to fit 30's" questions, then this will end up like NAXJA's little sister. If the users can remember that this is an "Extreme rockcrawling" board and weed out the trivial BS, I think it will be valuable.
rubiguy 04-04-2007, 08:38 AM Not tryin to b an ass, But you are bin ass. If u Dont have nothin nice to say about things then dont say it.

Your spelling sucks. :flipoff2:

I agree. As I think the saying goes, "Build it and they will come". Well it's up to us to build it however we want. I think it's worth a try. If it fails to work out, then we will have what we had before.
ashmanjeepXJ 04-04-2007, 02:19 PM I am down, Give the newbies hell and send them to newbie tech.:flipoff2:
I dont think the XJ forum is really needed.
JohnnyJ 04-04-2007, 02:28 PM Forum for the Wagons.
I don't think you just get the XJs, you get the rest of the wagons, too.
Most importantly, that means Liberties. :D
As a ZJ guy I fawkin hate it when people call them all "Cherokees" as if the two are anything alike. I didn't see anything wrong with the way the forums were set up before.
Buneduggy 04-05-2007, 01:56 PM Some of you guys would bitch about finding a 10lb sack of hundred dollar bills:flipoff2:
Instead of trying to figure out how this forum is going to go wrong, why can't we just let it be used and sort itself out. The mods haven't set any "no flaming", or "keep it hardcore" rules. Right now it appears to be a Generalized Cherokee, yes grands included forum.
Cliff Notes: Quit your bitchin! :flipoff2:
Steve N 04-05-2007, 02:08 PM No Mo said it.....Think of it as a hardcore Non SWB Jeep section.

BINGO !!
it's up to you guys with wagons to make this forum as cool as you want it. I have seen some pretty nice junk around so I am sure the die hards will lead the way and make this forum cool.
87manche 04-05-2007, 02:18 PM so do I fit in here as well?
88burban 04-05-2007, 02:44 PM I would say yes, XJ, MJ, ZJ all fit here
87manche 04-05-2007, 03:01 PM so instead of calling it the forum for cherokees, why not change it to Unibody Jeeps.
Goatman 04-06-2007, 12:48 PM so instead of calling it the forum for cherokees, why not change it to Unibody Jeeps.
Then you would be including all the tube buggy's with Jeep front ends.
:flipoff2:
scallywag 04-06-2007, 12:57 PM I think its cool. Instead of wading through heaps of YJ, TJ, etc. tech, I can go right to the Jeeps that matter. By the way, how much lift to fit 3o" tyres? :p

You can fit 30's without a lift, but you'll have to remove the fender flares and trim the dog shit out of it.........and you'll have to do something about the steering angles because the tires will give you some lift. :D
JeremySmith 04-06-2007, 03:24 PM I would say yes, XJ, MJ, ZJ all fit here
AND SJ's!:flipoff2:
DirtyComanche 04-06-2007, 03:29 PM I don't get it.
Maybe I'll just buy a YJ so I know what room to be in.
88burban 04-06-2007, 04:09 PM AND SJ's!:flipoff2:
forgot about those POSs :D
87manche 04-07-2007, 10:38 AM Then you would be including all the tube buggy's with Jeep front ends.
:flipoff2:
you got me.
:flipoff2:
I don't think you just get the XJs, you get the rest of the wagons, too.

Liberties sure aren't XJ's and can hardly be called Jeeps. Maybe we need a Yuppie Jeep forum.
stock XJ stuff can go in the non-hardcore jeep stuff. think of this as the hardcore XJ section.
Sounds good to me. Self police the newbies and keep it hardcore. :flipoff2:
rubiguy 04-12-2007, 03:56 PM been to pirate much?
Yea i have lol. It can get brutal on the comment on here.

I'm sure there where lots of similar sentiments back in 1984:flipoff2:

At least XJ's got solid axles, a better COG and are an easy to build platform... You could even get a factory winch. An 84 XJ could hold it's own on the trail when compared to other Jeeps being produced at the time.
KJ's are stuck with IFS and all the yuppie toys.... It sure can't four wheel like some of the other Jeep models that are being produced.
I would like to see a stock KJ follow a XJ and see who gets further...
JeremySmith 04-12-2007, 06:53 PM Don't get me wrong, I'll take a an XJ over a liberty anyday. But stock compared to stock, no options but 4 wheel drive I'd bet I could follow an XJ about anywhere in a liberty. As long as the transfer case doesn't fall out of the liberty. And yes, I do own a XJ, in addition to my SJ.
freerider15 04-13-2007, 01:44 PM Hmmm, well at this point, besides a few decent threads, it looks like a Special chapter for JU right here on Pirate...:shaking:

You're telling me.... This is a lost cause from how it seems:shaking: . I guess I'll go flame on all the bogus posts and bump the good ones.
mikeyJp 04-14-2007, 06:44 PM What about the BJ's!:flipoff2:
What about the BJ's!:flipoff2:
That why we have you here. So nice of you to volunteer...
When your done giving the BJ's go back to the rock you crawled out from under unless you have good tech to post.:mad3:
I bet giving BJ's is the only thing hardcore you can do...

Sorry for the Hijack.
