: 360 flywheel question

The 258 is leaving way to many marks on the driveway, and I think it is time for the old power plant to move over and let the 360 claim its territory.

I need a standard shift flywheel and am pricing what they cost new. In 4wd hardware they have a "standard shift flywheel assembly 1972-1991 AMC 360 V8 engine, includes #2 ring gear installed SFI approved 37lbs billet steel. $249.99"

or

"standard shift flywheel assembly 72-91 AMC 360 V8 engine factory style replacement. $139.99"

which do I need and why?

Also if I was going to get my 258 fly wheel rebalanced to 360 specs ( which I have been having a hard time finding) would I get it balenced to 37 lbs like in the first one ?

thanks for the help,
Tony

Just went through this with a 360 FW that was hamburger:mad: .
I had 258, 304 FWs galore hanging around but all of the reasearch I did came up with "all look the same but aren't".
FAWK.
Ended up getting a used one for $75.
For $299 or even $140 you could get yourself a whole 360. Be patient and look around.
