I have a 1985 ford ranger with ttb in the front and I was on therangerstation reading about max flex on my ranger front end with the ttb using jeep coils but i wanted to get a 8" lift for more clearance. i was wondering if I'm going to have to do something with my stirring and if my truck is going to be drivable on the street. what size coil and what brand do u guys recomend? I was also going to do a Chevy leave spring conversion in the back and change the angle of my axle to change the angle of the drive line. Has any one done this any comments ideas will help thanks.

yes..go BACK to therangerstation and ask these questions...theres a ton of info there...

otherwise your going to weed through 15 pages on this thread about being a newbie..and using the term "MAD FLEX"

oh..and the TTB crap on the front of a ranger and 8in of lift isnt happening..6in kits are made..but the steering suffers..and the wheel bearings suffer..and the brackets bend/break..

not tryin to be a prick..just tryin to help..

8" of lift is highly not going to work well on a TTB, especially with flexy springs.
4" of lift is the limit where you still have some bolt-on steering options available that will work well. Above that (6"), you WILL need to fab up a better steering link for it.

Yea, you'll find a lot more info about the TTB on the TRS forums, here everyone thinks a straight axle is the only thing capable of setting tire on a rock :flipoff2:
