I am pretty sure the term back halved applies to cutting the rear frame in front of the rear tires. Not just cuting the top body and adding tube. Its more topless then backhalfed.

looks to me like someone spent too much time surfing the toyota section of Pirate...

Cut off the piece that exits the top of the B and goes down and connects right above the wheel, bend a new piece and make it connect at the B and go to the Node at the back of the truck...

a Diagonal in the B would be nice...
