Ok i bought a 1977 CJ-7 for 500$CDN
body was more then just rusted, it was like in 3 peices, so i bought a 1994 YJ body, since i got the body... i was thinking maybe i should buy a YJ frame instead of modifing this one to fit the body on... BUT what about the front, i got the whole CJ front, does it fit on a Yj frame?

thanks

I'd go with a YJ frame, but I think the CJ front end is too narrow to make fit. the YJ frame is 4" wider up front than a CJ.

plus the steering mounts on a CJ is rigged to begin with

YJ and CJ tubs are basically the same as far as body mounts go with the exception of a couple of the. However, if you are mechanically inclined enough to swap bodys/frames, then moving a few boy mounts isnt that hard.

as for the selection of frames....the better choice is a YJ frame. YJs are a mandrel bent boxed frame where the CJ frame is just welded C channel....
