Saw a newer psd recently that had the muffler removed and was just running a straight pipe for exhaust. Is this something that will damage the computer or fuck anything up if i do it to mine? Have a 2002 7.3l psd.

I am about to get a 98 PSD, what kinda power gains can be expected from straight-pipe?? Or is it just to sound "kewl"

thanks-

He says he didn't notice much power difference, but he did notice substantially cooler exhaust temps.

I have a straight pipe on my 00 PSD. The fluttering sound of the turbo is pretty loud (my neighbors probably hate me). But at freeway speeds it quiets down a little.
