The truck is carburated. It has a chevy 350 in it. I pulled a spark plug wire and stuck a screwdriver in it and let it sit on top of the radiaor hose and I didnt see any spark. Did I do this right?

Nope....you have to ground it to get spark. Stick the driver in the end of the plug wire and hold it about a 1/4 inch away from a grounded surface while cranking the motor. No spark=bad.

I stuck a long screwdriver in the 8 cylinder wire I believe and held it 1/4" away from a ground. I checked the ground first with a test light to see if it work and it did. I had no spark. I even layed the screwdriver on the ground and still no spark. What the hell is wrong??

WD40 will probably be ok, but you would be better off with some graphite... you can pick it up at Home Depot for cheap...
