Has anyone used these shocks. with the good valve and dual rate springs are 235.00 per shock and thats cheap. But Im thinking there is a reason they are that cheap

I did a simple search for "coilovers" and in a few seconds found this trainwreck of a thread -> http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=537304&highlight=coilovers

I've also used the search function to find a set of unused fox's for sale in the classifieds section at a comparable price ;)

I'm pretty sure that its 220 per shock w/o res and then you have to buy your own springs. I've been thinking about these also.

Chris,
If you read the whole thread its not a trainwreck anymore as the company is under new management and the new guy (coincidentally named chris) seems like a real good guy. Also several of the PBB guru's have said that these seem to be a quality coilover with money saved in the right areas to make them cheaper. They are not race coilovers but for that price what do you expect.

From what I got on that post was exactly that. They are NOT race quality, but for 90% of us, we don't need that anyway. Also, they said they figured out a way to manufacture the cast eye at a reasonable cost to pass the savings down. Also, replacement Eyes are like 25$ each or something which isn't bad if you had to replace one.

I think if they hold up fairly well, I think they have a good market base for them.

There were alot of concerns about customer service as well, but since a new guy has taken over the marketing and sales and seems to be very quick with responses. if he doesnt know the answer, he doesn't try to BS you, he asks to find the answer.

so far so good from what I can tell, if I was in the market for coilovers, I'd give'em a shout, and will when I get there. hehe
