Here is a couple of pics of a mercedes GWagen that a friend of mine has. As you probably know they came with front and rear driver operated lockers, live axles coil sprung diesel engine and auto, everything that you would swap in. He picked it up for around $18,000 Australian dollars. Since buying it he has added a 3" lift, 36" Swampers on beadlocks, near front bar (made from an ARB Suzuki bar) an air tank, deck inside and a few other things i can't think of

If I could only have one 4x4 a G-Wagen similar to that would be about it...
Too bad they are so "stupid expensive" and yuppified in Canada... My wife's cousin works at the factory that makes the G-Wagen just east of Munich - got all the brochures and such.
Major robo-chubby for one of those trucks...

He made it himself out of lots of 3" offcuts from an exhaust shop then got the welder out and there you go, a snorkel. he also made mine for me using the same process. here's a pic of mine which gives you a better idea.

If you saw the price tag one of those carries in the US you'd cry.... or laugh your ass off that you can get them so cheap over there:flipoff2:
Pretty sweet truck, did he make it all of the way up in the second picture?

he certainly did. it is amazing what that thing will climb, the only thing it seems to have trouble with is steep slippery climbs as the weight causes it to slide around a bit
