i have found acouple of diffrent break conversions but you all seem like jeep gods .so to get the best info .yougo to the best sorce . ijust picked up a 56 willys cj5 and dont like the breaks at all please help

There are a few options. 11" brakes from 72-75 CJ5s is a very popular option. I'm searching myself for other sources such as Scouts.
Disk brakes are another option. A complete setup from 76-79 CJs with 6 bolt hubs is all you need. you can also throw those on the rear D44 too!.
I'm getting ready to do a front disk and rear 11" drum upgrade on my 65.
