: anyone have built wagoneer pics?????
sceep 05-28-2002, 06:51 AM May be able to get this early 80's wagoneer real cheap and was thinking of building it. My family is growing so theres just not enough room in my cj anymore.
Good idea? bad idea? Probably going to swap my scout d-44's from under the cj into the waggy, until $$$$ alow d-60 swaps.
and bobbing that rear-end is a must.
i know someones got some badass waggys out theres, wheres the pics?
big4294x4 05-28-2002, 08:36 AM Andrew Dobosh has a nice Waggy. Plus he just cut the top off of it, and there are a lot of tech pics of how he did it. It is pretty nice, built dana 60 Front and Rear w/ 38s. Look under members rigs here...... http://rrr.n3.net
jeepxjga 05-28-2002, 09:52 AM actually its 39's :D yeah if he is on here i'm sure he will chime in on cutting the top, it was actually pretty simple, we even got to use a highly technical method to get the rear glass out (a hammer). thats me in the blue shirt :D. i don't think the page is working right now, but keep trying it, it has been on the fritz these past couple days, maybe they are finally putting some info on my rig in the member's section (its about time! :D)
GREEN WAGON 05-28-2002, 10:48 AM I have a 73 bobbed 17" cut top 14 bolt rear ,dual casses 39.5 swampers .

big4294x4 05-28-2002, 05:29 PM Yeah the site is down a lot in the last few days, hopefully Andrew's taking up all of the traffic to the site by putting alot of time into upgrading the Members rigs Page:rolleyes:, I still haven't even seen Eric's Jeep running a bajillion inches of lift and 33"tires on that wrangler ( that should be funny looking ). He also needs to update my member's rigs page w/ my new XJ as well.

jeepxjga 05-31-2002, 12:08 AM Yeah, eric's YJ looks real goofy last time i saw it. i went and partied with andrew and eric in athens when i was visiting before school got out and i saw it with the spring over and all, we took the body lift off completely though so its not TOO bad. i was there with andrew during spring break too when he made it up lower 2 w/o winching (oh yeah baby!) it was badass, we really saw how unbreakable his drivetrain is. of course, practically everything else except the drivetrain broke but we still made it w/o winch!! :D
tigger4x 06-02-2002, 05:38 PM It's about time you got that lump over here!! ;)
Is your site fully up and runnin' yet:question: Its been a while since I took a peek see. The pics always come up as Xs. I have taken a few good steps to getting mine up on its meats. Still gonna be htting you up to pick your grey matter! What state are you in, again? Hope to chat soon.

i know someones got some badass waggys out theres, wheres the pics? What's wrong with the axles under it now? The Waggie is a kewl wheeler as far as I'm concerned. Bobbing the rear is good if you are really big on departue angle. Other than that you kill off a bunch of space for gear in the rear. I won't be so concerned for in cab storage space cuz I intend on fabbing up a towable out of an old 8' jeep truck bed.:D Spare rear shafts, springs, shackles, gears, etc. PLUS all the goodies I can stuff in it IF needs be.
Best of Luck on it, and don't forget pics when you GET IT!
You may wanna check out the IFSJA for some Full Size Jeep specific info (www.IFSJA.net)

hehe.. yeah the new site has been up for some time now.... I gotta redo it again so it'll load faster....
nomorejeep 06-03-2002, 08:32 PM here one on 44's and big block
http://www.muddytoy.com/images/wagoneer.jpg
JohnnyJ 06-05-2002, 08:37 AM sceep, putting your scout 44s on the wag may not be possible without adjusting backspacing on rims or using spacers or some other bs workaround
Plus, all wags come with a 44 up front, and they don't need the knuckles to be cut and turned. 79 and earlier and late-86 and later had D44s in the rear. 80-86 had one-piece amc 20s.
so if you've got lockers and gears in the 44s already, i'd recommend pulling them and moving them into the new axles.
tigger4x 06-05-2002, 10:32 AM HEY JEEPSTER!! Is that your big ol' beast?
I got a few things I wanna pick your brain about. I am in the middle of my build up and see you have done a few things I have been mulling over.
