It's a biggun. 18x72 American Tool Works engine lathe. Makes my Clausing 12x36 look like a toy. This puppy was built in 1903 and built to last. I love it, it's so quiet and tight it's unbelievable. Also got a ton of tools and tooling with it.

nice lathe. I know I really like my Hendey. Mines a 1921 model with a motor conversion kit with a transmisson. its a 14x60. It still looks longer though...

What is your motor drive setup? is the 72" between centers or full length?

It has what looks to be some kind of kit for it. Theres a steel plate that bolts to factory bolt holes in the back that houses the motor and a 3 speed transmission with reverse. It has 2 knobs, one with 3 positions for speed selection and one that selects ford/reverse. It's actually realy nice, if doesn't look like a homebrew setup.

until I actually got a lathe and started playing with it I was never that impressed when someone said "came with a bunch of tooling" or something along those lines. Looks like you did well to say the least

Do you have it working yet? You could always test it out by turning down the heads of some bolts. :p

Way ahead of you buddy... Picked up bolts today and found one of the hubs you gave me. Now I wish I could remember what I turned the back side of the hub too lol.
