We got back late yesterday. As usual we had an excellent time. The MTTR's did another fine job of trail leading. Saturday was kinda slow for us, due to the fact of non-tested vehicles riding a semi-tough trail. (Cowan- the Drill and what ever else Robin took us on). Robin certainly did what he could to keep some of the crazies in "check". Funny how someones big ego shrinks when they get in a bad spot and start breaking parts. :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2: :flipoff2:
This guy thought he was the baddest dude who ever drove a jeep, but when he hit the ledge 6,7 or 10 times and popped his front shaft. He really cooled off.
Some of the other jeeps weren't quite ready for some of the rough stuff and broke things that should have never been put on a trail rig.
Sunday we did Stagecoach, that is probably my most favorite trail. Two of us ran the whole creekbed while the others did the side by-pass trails. Brenda's hill was finally tackled, but just in the nick of time. That's whan the rain started  :) :D The climb out was pretty greasy, I did have to winch up the big flat rock on the turn, but made the rest of the way. Once at the top Doug (yellow Suzuki) asked me to help winch the smaller/partial locked jeeps up the hill, so I turned around and winched some of the jeeps up to the top.
We really had a blast and look foward to Labor Day...

I went back home almost every night but friday, when I camped with Beau.. I just love living about 10 miles from Monteagle:D

I'd say stagecoach is one of my favorites, I've been riding in Cowan for about 20 years, kinda breaks it up a little bit.

We had a suzuki roll off a ledge going down Brendas hill on sat.
everyone was ok and the guy drove it on out.
Good to see you back over this way David, maybe get to run the same trail someday..

Although the trail rides were great, the evening entertainment in the mud pit behind the smokehouse was better. Nothing will beat that stock suburban tearing up the pit, except maybe when that nice, pretty Montero collided with that big Jeep. The Jeep only had a tire(42's or 44's) knocked off the bead, the Montero had the bumper pushed into the drivers side tire and did some pretty good damage to the drivers side fender. But that 'burban was something else:D:D:D:D

Did you come to the mud bog Saturday night? That Suburban tried his best to blow the motor up in 4' of mud :p

I was super busy all weekend, so if I met anyone from the board I probably don't remember it ;)

Saturday was a looooong one - up ar 5 to get ready for the rock challenge, did not get to bet until 3:30am on Sunday morning due to the mud bog we (MTTR) put on - last truck ran at 3am!

The Rock Challenge went off ok - small for our first one, but managable while we figure out how to host a rock challenge event. I have a few pics on my web site, check out the "What's New" section for the link :)

I saw a red Jeep on rockwells - was that someone from on here?

That red TJ on your site was the one that won the rock challenge at the Dixie Run this past October. Ricky told me about the Red Jeep on rockwells, but I didn't get to see it.

I didn't go to the mudbog, I figured I'd get some pretty good entertainment at the pit at the smokehouse.

Friday night, that burban would get sorta stuck and just lay on the throttle for what seemed like two or three minutes until he would start moving again. He had all three seats packed and the tunes were coming out loud. Saturday, after the mud bog, he came back to the smoke house and was tearing it up again. He stopped to take a break and they couldn't get it started again. Sunday morning, I found out that they trailered it away.

I also saw a very nice stock Excursion go out and play in the pit. He submerged half the front end when he came down into the pit. I think that he just wanted to get it dirty.

Saturday, I rode Coppinger's Cove with Andy and Sunday I did the Drill with Robin well, at least until the rains came and we turned everything around.
