I was wondering if my Jeep (1982 CJ7) power steering pump is the same as the one you find in Chevy V8 engines.
My idea is to use my stock Jeep pump, in my new 350 SBC with a Chevy bracket.
Is that possible???, The reason why I'm asking is because I need to buy the bracket.

Most of the Saginaw pumps are very similar if not the same. I reused my stock pump when I swapped in an SBC. ('87 YJ) It depends mostly on the bracket style. The pumps usually sit at differing angles (angle that the neck sticks up at) from one application to another.

Use your can, mounting studs, and pully and then go for it. The only real difference is if it is metric or not and if it is it will say metric on the snout behind the pully.
