: more ground clearance

I want more ground clearance if possible with a minimal spring or body lift (those are not allowed for the annual inspection in Belgium). So I was thinking of getting a Teraflex bellyup and a 33 engineering TC drop (2003 TJ with 5 speed).
I might use some spring spacers too (I would need to remove them each year of course).
How much lift can I have with the stock shocks?
Any other options that I have?
Oh, I already have 31's and don't think I want to go higher (2.4 engine)

i would definatley get the belly up kit. you will notice a huge differance, it would be like running 33's on your jeep. as for the t-case drop that kinda eliminates the use of the bellyup. you will probably need a sye kit and a new driveshaft because it tucks it up so high. you are going to need to do a 1-2 in body lift for that kit to work though iirc.:smokin:

X2. The tera kit will get you about 1 - 2" more belly clearance which is nice. But the real feature is a better skid (thicker) recessed trans mount bolts, and it's a good flat sliding surface.

You don't need the BL for the skid to work. It comes with a small motor mount lift.

You will need an SYE and DS or you will have major drive line vibes, and it'll pop u-joints like crazy.

wont the bellhousing hit the tunnel on the body with the motor lift? i got a 2 in bl and theres hardley any room, with the MORE 1 in lift mounts.

I have a 97 TJ with a 1" body lift and 1" MML. I have a flat belly and nothing hits, although it is close!

Right now I am running the Tera Skid with no BL, it's close - but nothing hits.

Sorry, i didn't explain the t-case drop right. I meant this (http://www.offroadtoystore.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=33-1650&Category_Code=33eng). It's a mount that brings the TC close to the skid, by using thinner rubbers. It doesn't lower the skid itself.

Anyone know how much lift I can have with the stock shocks? Will the stock shocks be ok for, say 2" spacers?

stock shocks should be fine with 2 in spacers
