sorry for the double post, i just need some help, going wheelin on Friday, and i dont want to get stranded........

I have a FORD 2002 F-350 Diesel. I have been having problems with it sputtering then cutting off with the juice programer installed....I had it checked for codes the only thing that came up was high or low fuel pressure.

We took the edge off, I ran it for a week without it. I had no problems, I hooked up the computer to it and I got no codes, no check engine, nothing was wrong. Somebody had told me to maybe check the cam position sensor.

So what I did after that was I had edge send me a new unit, the truck was running fine for a week. Today the truck started sputtering again real quick like it wanted to shut off but it kept going. This is just like the beginning stages from the first juice unit.

Is anyone else experiencing any kind of problems like this?

I don't got the answer for you... but I had a edge J/A and that damn thing froze up on me when towing. I got rid of it and got a real chip... best thing I've done yet :flipoff2:

Edge are crap - my boss has a 03 dipermax with the edge, we have installed 4 diffrent programers - the first would shut the truck off at speed ( we were told it was due to his truck was a CA and the programer wasnt ) the second and third would make the engine light come on with multiple codes. when i say multiple, i mean 15-20 at a time, codes even for a gas engine. the last was making it idle horrible and sputter at speed - every time the edge was removed and codes cleared and the truck would run like new - no programers on the truck now

a friend has a 02 dipermax with the edge - the truck ran fine untill he was in MO and pulling a trailer - then the engine sputtered and lost power - he dissconected the egde and the truck started and ran - a new edge was installed - the engine locked up on the way back to CA - ( he checked for codes - and problems - he is a tech of over 25 yrs. ) edge told him to shove it and it was him - not their product - a new engine and some major $ later ( no warranty said the dealership - found the edge box in the back seat :D ) -

have installed 2 on fords at work - three days later drivability problem came up - take them out and the vehicles ran fine - my only other exp. with programmers is banks - have had no problems with them - a side note - the edge did seem to have more power than the banks on one ford 7.3 -

dptuner... my dp 40hp program feels as strong or stronger than edge's 75hp "extreme" program :laughing:

What program version were you guys running on the Edge? Mine's been flawless since I installed it in Feb.

edge will tell you straight up that 1 in 10 boxes are flawless. They are more than happy to replace the box whenever you want. Just call edge directly and tell them what's going on... the'll give you an RMA # and say it'll take a couple weeks to get the new box to you after you send the old one back. As soon as they get your box they'll have one in the mail within the hour if they're in stock. I got mine back 4 days after I dropped the problem unit in the mail.

Get the DP Tuner Mach 5 with the tow settings they are awsome on the 7.3.

they asked me to mail it to them, they are going to look at see WTF, mabe i can get my cash back, or they can just keep sending me new ones

I went through the same thing with mine. I did the original beta testing for the 7.3L units. When the first one kept freezing up I thought fine, its a beta unit. I called them up and they had a new one on the way to me and told me to send the other one back when the new one arrived. Put that on and ran another 6mo (long into normal production now) and it kept pulling the same crap. Called them up and they sent out another one and told me it was the last one, no more warranty. They never could figure out what was wrong. I ran it on the truck for another 6mo or so until I got my DP chip. Unloaded all my Edge stuff (Evolution programmer, and Juice) and never looked back. If it worked right and cost about half of what it does then it might be ok. Funny thing is my DP chip makes more power and cost half what the Juice does.

well i'm getting rid of it next week some time, gettting a better unit, 4'' turbo back exhaust, stage 2 cold air

chunk that crap and go with a flip chip! you will NEVER regret it! i know you think we are all crazy but flip on the fly is awesome esp if you wanna smoke out that bumping honda civic next to you in the other lane :smokin:
