: 84 toy ?

ok i've ben reading this site for some time,i have gone to a couple of events and now me and my wife got the bug......so i went out and bought a 84 toy xcab 5.29 gears with lock rite front and rear on 35" tire. i've ben playing a little to get the feel for it. what i need to no are a couple things, first i'm in victorville and need a cage built dont no were to go? should i be running the sway bar on the front? i'm sure i'll have ? as time go's on,,,, great site by the way !

nobody has any ideas for a cage? or front sway bar ? one more thing is should i ditch the two piece driveshaft in the rear for a single ? need some advice..

I've never felt a difference on the road with the sway bar. The sway bar will limit your articulation off road. I've taken off and recycled all the sway bars off my Yotas. I've only felt a difference on IFS vehicles. No help with the cage, always had my buddy bend and weld mine. I didn't know older Yotas came with two piece drivelines. I'd imagine that one piece would be better as long as the driveline isn't too long, if you have a long bed regular cab, I'd say run a one piece(they're easier to find and easier to carry for spares). Also "U" joint angles may be better with a one piece. Good luck

With the ext cab you need the two piece driveshaft, for the added
wheelbase and better ground clearance!!!:flipoff2:
