I have an 89 s-blazer with a sfa, and I am also running edelbrock headers, to keep my headers it seems I will have to run a true, dual exhaust to get rid of the Y-pipe and not have it in the way of my front d-shaft, I plan to do this with a cross pipe, as I think with out it my ride will sound like doo doo. anyone else run into this combination with headers on a 4.3L?

pdaddy, I used a piece of flex line to clear the d-s on the driver side. it works fine for now until I get the exhaust done at a shop.:smokin:

PDaddy- My S-truck probably isn't a good example, I'm running manifolds and my shaft is on the other side of the truck.....but on my Blazer (FS), on my right side the the exhaust comes right off the header flange, up over the cross member and the front output (along inside the frame rail) and then hooks down and around the case right under the rear output houseing on the case where it meets the left side pipe. The Idea would be the same for yours but exactly opposite. Bring that left side up over the crossmember, to the left of the shaft and case, then it will hook right drop right under the rear tail housing and down the right frame rail for a factory style exit.

This is about what I did, its all done now, only, since I have no IFS, I cut the hole in the torsion bar cross member a little bigger and ran it through the crossmember, then across under the tailshaft :smokin: everything is above the frame rails
