I have a Millermatic 175. I am using an argon/co2 gas mix. I am 99% sure that I am getting no gas flow. The bottle is full, and the regulator shows that as well. Could it be a bad regulator?

Start with a simple check, can you hear gas flow at the nozzel when you pull the trigger? You should be able to even w/ it a few inches from your ear. If not, search the forum, we covered simmilar problems with the same welder 2x in the past month.

No, I cannot hear any gas flow. I will try and use google to search.

you should hear the click of a relay/solenoid opening, kinda like the click of the relay you hear when you turn on your blinker.

Here is one of the links to the other guy's thread, same problem, but backwards. His gas flowed all of the time. http://www.pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=568961&highlight=mm175

Anyhow, to check your regulator, take the hose off the regulator that goes to the welder, and turn the bottle on and see if you hear gas flow at the regulator. More than likely, it is the solenoid, or the board that drives it.

Later,
Jason

I took the hose off the regulator and it flows out fine.
