i know alot of people in are area welding the rear axle on d35's. They take a while before the pop... these guys dont care though.

I was one of those guys that welded his 35. And he is right I didnt care. I got all the suspension and the motor running right and I just wanted to wheel with it for a day up at Paragon.

I dont recommend doing it to an axle that you care about or is worth any amount of money. If you have a some change laying around get a spool.

Another suggestion is to put a question like this in the NON-HARDCORE section. This part of the forum is for hardcore cherokee tech so dont cry if you get a good and proper FLAMING. :flipoff2:

Im sorry if i missed any of your stats on your rig, but im assuming that your running 33's with 4.5-5.5 inches of lift... maybe lower gears. I have seen many guys get away with welding their 35 but they also are pussy's when it came to wheeling. Im not saying that you shouldn't, but for god sakes man, take it easy on that axle.

That didn't mean BOTH places ... it mean't delete this one and THEN post it there ..... plus google it there is enough info on the web about lincoln lockers too keep you reading for hours...... yes no yes no yes no ..... general consensus is if you care enough to ask then don't do it

Pony up the 30 bucks for a mini spool. Just make sure you get the hardened cross pin.

if you do it weld the spider together and then weld the spider gears to the carrier also.

Why do you guys insist on answering questions like these?

I think you should just plug your rear end instead of welding it. That way you won't be able to shit, and the shit will back up into your brain, and give you more shitty ideas like this one.

HAHA I told him to use liquid nails cause it wouldn't burn in the nonhc section where he also posted this If you look you'll see he still only has 2 posts...... I think he's tired of playing already.

do it, my friend and i welded up 2 Dana 35 rearends in his cherokee with NO problems. 2 because my buddy jumped it and bent the housing so we had to put a differant one in so we had to weld the new one up. we have 33's with 3.55 gears and we beat the shit outta the jeep, so it will hold up
