Man it's slow in here today...

Anyway, after a short (and unlucky) trip to the Con, I came back and ....well, actually, I took a nap...then I started working on the Scout. Almost have the brake lines redone...might have them finished tonight. Added the rest of the needed fluids, finished my odd u-bolt plate with my new "bend me the Fawk over and rape me" u-bolt that cost me $6 in shipping alone to ship it 20 miles:rolleyes: ...anyway. Ripped out all the guages (have new ones going back in.) and started the thing back up...first time in about 7 months. Let it run for a while, wanted to have it heat up enough so that the electric fan would kick on..but it never went over 170º. My fan is about 1/2" closer to the radiator now, so maybe it will keep it even cooler.

Anyway, I have to wait for the weekend after this one to get a full amount of work done (Going to Vegas this weekend) but it should be drivable here real soon.

Here's all I need:
Finish cage
Add Steering column into cage
Add seats into cage
Add dash and gauges into cage
fab tie rod and draglink.

Misc wiring (got some more rock lights to install, repair wires which jumped into the way of the plasma cutter:eek: , and I might even hook up a stereo here shortly.:D :rasta:

Ran into Mark (rubicrawler) and his daughter up on the Con..nice Scout but it could sure use some rocker protection IIRC;)

That's about it.

(just trying to put something in here to read...maybe nothing would be better than this ^...nah:flipoff2: )

Joel- It was nice to see you again! Yeah- the rockers need some work. I'm thinkin' 'bout cuttin the rockers out and welding in some 2x4x.180 tubing. That should take care of the rock rash :)

We're headin up on July 19th. Maybe you could join us :)

It has been dead around here, I guess it's due to the fact that us Binder owners actually wheel our rigs, not a lot of web wheelers in the Binder section.

BTW, my big project this weekend, cut down to three stumps one dead tree. In preparation for a killer tree house, complete with 220 service. :D

Yeah, the Scout II's got ripped off in the easy rocker panel fix area...I don't think my 1/4" plate trick would work to well for those.

I should be there in July....almost running now!;)

True very true, but you have a rig that is almost complete. You might graduate to real wheeler status soon.

We received a call from Grandma, Joseph (our 3 year old) had a high temp. All day Saturday he ran a 100 plus temp, then Sun he was back to 90% and 100% by Monday. Kinda killed all the plans for the weekend.

I thought it was because I had no time to dally on PBB getting ready to go out and break my POS.. and now I'm busy putting it back together. :-)

Would've had it fixed last night if I'd had some brake cleaner handy.. the latest spare 727 --> D20 adapter was FILTHY...
