I found a dana 60 real cheap but it is off of a 1988 or 89 f350 it's a solid axle. I would like to find out If anyone knows weather or no I could bolt this front axle right up to my highboy on the exception of the steering which I have figured out.

measure the spring purches. if they are the same should be good.

Because it is Hi Pinion, you may have front driveshaft clearance issues. The pinion will be above the center line of the axle 1 1/8" or 2 1/4" higher than what you currently have.
I also think you will find the Hi boy frame is narrower and spring perches will be too wide on the new axle.

31.5 and yeah his will be wider. Your going to have to move your springs outward on your truck, link it, or sell it and go with a 78/79. Some hi boys were high pinion right?

Couldnt you just move the spring perches to the correct width? Or is there too much other shit in the way of doin that?

Ya, I paid 450 for an 88 hpd60 with new joints, kingpins, and brakes, delivered to my trailer from a junkyard. With 4.10's no less.
The 86-92? king pin dana60's are good axles though. The only difference in them and the 78-79 axle is that the pumkin is off to the left more so the spring pads can't really be made narrower than 34" (stock is 36.5 or so). And they also have bigger inner axle shafts than the 78-79.

91.5. Only issue I have with mine is because of the wide perches my turning radius SUCKS DICK.:shaking:
