If you want to go in the front side take I-80 to the Eagle Lakes exit then go to your left and follow the signs, if you want the Meadow Lake side you take I-80 to I think it is Hwy 88 or 89 just past Truckee go left to Jackson Meadows turn off and follow the signs to Meadow Lake this is much longer but you can camp at the top of the trail in set up camp sites and wheel from base camp, good luck and have fun.

go in eagle lakes, the trail still has alot of snow up top.;)

Take Hwy 49 to Jackson, 88 to Stockto, 99 to Manteca, Turn rt.
