Was wondering if the body from an 87 4Runner will bolt up to an 85 frame?
The 87 was an automatic if that makes any difference.

It should bolt right up, but I haven't done it myself.

If they are both 4Runner frames, then they have the same body mounts. Swapping should be no problem.

how hard is the swap. say u had air tools and a hoist how many hours would it take? and friends that would help?

Yes the body should bolt onto an older 4Runner frame. Plan on having lots of friends and :beer: or a large hoist when you remove the body. I have a 87 4Runner and I will be doing a frame swap onto a 85 4Runner frame as soon as I gather all the parts for the lift, axles and any other mods that I can think of.
