Autozone or Kragen if you want to go through 4 or 5 to find a good one :D I have a buddy that every time he buys one of the rebuilds from Kragen he usually goes through 4 or 5 untill he gets one that works right. Personally I would spend the money and buy an Edelbrock Q-jet they are new not rebuilt.

There is a place in Pittsburg Ca. that sells remanufatured carbs, RECARBCO I think is the name. Last time I checked they had quads on sale for around $120. Never got one, so I'm not sure how good the quality is, but they say they flow test them after overhaul....
I have never seen a quad for sale a Kragens or autozone that wasn't at least $300.
I have gotten carbs from Big A, and I had to go through 3 before I got a good one....it lasted about a year, and it was rebuild time again....:skull:

What is it going on? I ordered a brand new quadrajet from Summit, the Edelbrock 1903 i believe. I have had no problems with it. Runs good. It is brand new, not rebuilt, I think the ones that autozone has are performers not quadrajets there is a difference and the performers are not good on 4x4s. I paid 416 for my carb including shipping and got 90 days same as cash from Summit.

Where in Carmichael are you? I'm over off Madison/I-80. What kind of truck do you have?
