this is not a 4x4 question but i figure some of you guys my know the answer. my wife has a 92 explorer. the front sill on the tranny has started leaking like no tomorrow. So i was going to pull it and change the sill. However the bell housing seems to encompass the engine with no inspection plat. How do you get to the TQ converter bolt?

There will either be a rubber plug you remove or you get them through the starter hole.

through the starter hole..you also will have problems with the exhaust..drain the tranny...take the transfer case off....flip the tranny UPSIDE DOWN and pivot it around the exhaust...

thats how the tranny shops do it...good luck...
